Krekel's Custard

Whenever I go I get their cheeseburger and fries. It’s usually very good. I would recommend trying the lemon ice cream. The flavor kind of reminds me of fruit loops cereal

Krekel’s has multiple locations in Decatur, but this is my favorite. I grew up in Decatur and now live in Florida, but whenever I am back in town I always head to this stand for old times sake. The burgers are tasty and the fries are crispy. I am all for nostalgia and crackles hits the spot!

Food was absolutely amazing I'd highly recommend coming here if you're in Decatur Illinois. I seriously got my money worth instead of going to some fast food place which would have costed the same if not more. I spent 9 dollars and got a drink and a delicious double cheese burger that was cooked to order. they also have ice cream so it would be a great place to go for the kids, they have many flavors. And even with them being super busy I literally only waited a few minutes to get my food. I was very impressed about the wait time with it being cooked from order super fresh veggies and again I'd highly recommend coming here.

My parents and I lived in Decatur for 25 years, they are still in Decatur after 40 years (1985), and my husband joined the family in 2017. We love Krekel's lemon ice cream and cheese burgers. My mom gave me a good laugh tonight when she was telling me how she imagines heaven and that "God knows our favorites (food) and I imagine the Krekel burgers will be up there too " Yes, it is THAT good! If you haven't tried it, get the lemon ice cream (no sprinkles) and a double Krekel burger with mustard, onion, and pickel.

Why do you have to beg for ketchup packets and they make you feel guilty for asking. Fries cold I love krekels hopefully I can change my review soon

Great burger and crinkle cut fries. Cherry coke is the best. Add cherry syrup to the coke. Come here every chance I get. Go in and eat, faster than the drive through.
